About the team  

As part of the Inventory & Procurement team you will be a part of a team consisting of three buyers and one inventory planner - where you report to the Head of Global Inventory & Procurement.

GANT are currently on a new journey with a centralized buying & merchandising function, where we together are working towards the vision of unified commerce. This role will be a key function in the process to create a seamless merchandise flow through our inventory! 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with suppliers and markets and maintain good communication to administrate purchase orders (full seasons, reorders and special orders) and confirmations
  • Monitor subsidiaries inventory for assigned suppliers/items/article groups.
  • Replenish assigned article groups (supply) to reach demand and forecasted sales
  • Monitor and follow trends - analyse and give recommendations on cancellations of running styles and provide input for overall buying strategy
  • Full responsible for pre booking on material and textile management of potential leftovers
  • Create forecasts for assigned merchandise based on data and collaborate across departments to improve the merchandise flow
  • As needed, develop strategies and forecasts to assist other buyers, departments and suppliers
  • Create strategic purchasing schedules
  • Other reporting or analytical requests that may arise to properly address the needs of department
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Create full season analysis on assigned article groups after booking, present key findings and actions across global teams

Your skills

  • Minimum 1 year of working in similar role
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant area
  • Strong systems understanding
  • Strong proficiency in EXCEL
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; computer proficient with Microsoft applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Fluently in English written and spoken
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Love working with numbers
  • Ability to employ critical thinking skills on demanding deadlines

Bonus points

  • Plus if you are a change agent with experience of project leading in a changing business model
  • Experience in working with direct contact with vendors/suppliers on a global level
  • Knowledge within inventory management, shrink and profit margins
