PRODUCTION MANAGER

Our Milan-based lifestyle brand is seeking an experienced Production Manager to be the true captain of the production supply chain, steering and strategizing the suppliers across all RTW and accessory offerings. This is a critical role, responsible for the full production ecosystem from a business point-of-view.

Ideal candidates will bring production expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and strong organizational skills to the team. The primary remit for this role is to ensure that all RTW and accessory assortments are produced at the highest quality standards in the most timely delivery windows. Speed, quality and margin optimization are the key guiding goals for this role.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of women’s categories, ideally with some luxury experience, and a passion for product.

This individual will report to the Operations Director and will be their  co-captain and key partner, bringing tactical and strategic acumen to the execution of each project, collection and category.

Experience working within a fast-paced growth-oriented company on the international stage and an understanding of luxury lifestyle brands are musts.

What you'll do:

In detail...

• Full knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
• Overseeing the production process
• Ensuring production is cost effective
• Oversee raw materials and equipment stock
• Drawing up a production schedule
• Ensuring that products are delivered on time and at the highest quality standards set by the company and industry
• Identifying all resources needed both in terms of internal and external structure
• Drafting and maintaining an ongoing timetable for each project
• Estimating costs and setting the quality standards
• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
• Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
• Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes
• Overseeing model and production fittings
• Liaising among different departments, e.g. suppliers, internal functional managers
• Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals
• Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
• Supervising and motivating the teams
• Reviewing the performance of subordinates
• Identifying training needs

• 5+ years of experience in production management
• Must be able to multitask

• Be able to prepare reports, calendars and production plans
• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office/Stealth Go/PLM management systems)
• Be decisive and committed
• Experienced in budget management

• Ability to lead complex and overlapping calendars
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills, concise and direct
• Degree level education
• Italian language fluency
• English language proficiency
