POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position will serve as the liaison between various Functional teams, Technology teams, and Support teams and will provide business systems, project, process and change management leadership. The position is one of strategic importance that will significantly contribute to the continued improvement of all systems, processes and practices within the respective area.

This role is expected to participate in a wide array of both short-term and long-term challenges/initiatives; work both on teams and independently; work on multiple requests simultaneously for more than one functional area and at a high level of quality and efficiency; and quickly become knowledgeable about the detail workings and requirements of assigned functional areas & initiatives.

This is a systems/functional/analytical role requiring a solid proven track record in communication skills - both verbal and written. This is not an application development position. However, it is responsible for helping in all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process up to and including post implementation support.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Manage development and resolve production issues around SAP FICO, Vertex, Hyperion and other financial applications
  • Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consults with customers about software system design and maintenance.
  • Oversees the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel.
  • Modifies existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Designs, develops and modifies software systems, using analysis and testing models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Stores, retrieves, and manipulates data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA Degree in Technology or Finance related discipline and/or comparable experience
  • 5+ years' experience designing, developing and implementing projects and business applications
  • Exposure to SAP, Hyperion, Vertex or POSDM systems is an added advantage.
  • Proven track record in all aspects of SDLC
  • Experience in documenting current & proposed process flows, converting the conceptualdesign into a detailed functional specification document, preparing testing plans and scripts,production turnover documentation and user documentation
  • Effective communication skills, problem management, customer service, and the ability to interact with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to senior leadership in times of organizational change.
  • Demonstrated effective teamwork and organizational skills, strong structure and procedures principles
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects of varying complexity
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues via telephone
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable
  • Must be flexible and available to provide off-hours support
