JOB PURPOSE

This role is the Subject Matter Expert and leads the technical strategy for Burberry's Windows, Mac and Mobile Devices and associated management platforms, currently SCCM/Intune, AirWatch/Workspace ONE and Jamf. It should be noted that this is not a hands-on engineering role but will require an overarching technical knowledge of the device management systems in use within Burberry as well as an understanding of the nuances of managing different Device Operating Systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the Burberry device (Mac, Windows and iOS and Android Mobile) and management platform strategy and roadmap, with an aim to simplify and secure our device estate based on your knowledge of key suppliers' roadmap, e.g. Microsoft, Apple, HP. Work closely with our chosen partners to deliver this strategy and roadmap.
• Support and drive our Application Strategy for these devices, work with the Business to enable a more streamlined and simplified application landscape ensuring user experience, accessibility and security is at the core of everything that we do.
• Work closely with Asset Management, Global EUS and the business to understand, input into and support our agreed Burberry Device Strategy to meet our end-user requirements.
• Define Burberry User Device personas and use these to build our ongoing device strategy (including VDI requirements), develop and improve device processes for the employee Lifecyle.
• Design and run the new device evaluation process with Asset Management, our Business users and our chosen partners to ensure we have a standard evaluation process to direct decision making and ensure that they will meet our employee needs. Run user forums and implement feedback loops to ensure that these devices are fit for purpose.
• Ensure devices are used in a secure and controlled manner, defining our Device security strategy in conjunction with Azure SME, Security Team and Risk Team.
• As service owner for the management of our devices, work closely with Asset Management to design and implement improvements to our device lifecycle management to ensure we are able to manage and monitor devices until EOL.
• Architect the App, Office and OS update process and schedules for the device to ensure we take advantage of the Evergreen nature of updates and that all our devices are secure. Work with our delivery partners to plan out major OS upgrades and patching to ensure our devices are also on supported versions.
• Actively participate in our Architecture Review Board, ensuring you have visibility and can provide advice and direction for any new solution designs that may impact our Burberry Devices.
• Work closely with the support teams and change management to implement platform and service improvement plans along with our delivery partners
• Capture service metrics and improve and drive efficiency in the services. Lead the development and implementation and ongoing management of policies and procedures.
• Support colleagues and business to get the best out of their devices, ensuring devices are used in a secure and controlled manner, protecting Burberry services and data. Actively promote and publish feature updates and communications to our Digital Workplace Community platform.

• Specialist Technical Subject Matter Expertise in:
  • MacOS, iOS, Android and Windows OS Mgmt.
  • MDM services (Intune, Jamf, AirWatch/Workspace ONE Azure AD).
  • Mobile, Laptops, Macs, Tablets etc security, config & mgmt.
  • Office365 and other core productivity applications.
  • PowerShell.
• Confident approach, delivering with minimal supervision/guidance.
• Ability to execute a Digital Workplace vision based on providing our Employees with the best experience.
• User-centric by nature and confident communicating effectively to an audience to convey concepts and ideas.
• High level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective long-term relationships and contribute to key business decisions .
