LISBON

Our Lisbon office is located in Portugal's cosmopolitan capital. Mostly the teams here are focused around Technology and Store of the Future. In this office, Farfetchers like to have catch ups in the ball pit or creative moments by the grand piano!

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer who will help develop web interfaces using top-notch front-end technology across multiple connected devices, mainly interactive displays. You will work as part of the Future Retail team, in a very relaxed environment that favours creativity. You will help us to continue creating an outstanding engineering group that supports our growth (through speed, quality, and consistency in delivery). You will report to the Engineering Lead.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Write reusable UI components and applications using Svelte;
    • Evolve our full-stack codebase using TypeScript and GraphQL;
    • Build immersive 3D experiences for the stores using Babylon.js ;
    • Work within a product-driven team on improving the luxury shopping experience;
    • Be involved in the design process and creative vision of the product;
    • Work within a cross-functional engineering team.


WHO YOU ARE

    • Experienced in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, NodeJS is a plus;
    • Familiar with a JavaScript library or component framework such as Svelte, React, Angular or Vue;
    • Interested in working with 3D, WebGL, Babylon, CSS transitions, and animations
    • Passionate about clean and well-documented code;
    • Curious about new libraries and frameworks;
    • Proficient in written and spoken English.
